I had a look at that link you gave me, some awesome stuff right there!

What I would need, though, is what you provide with your link: aka assigning a tag or tags to each user AND having them show in the “author info box” in front end, and once clicked in the tags I get a list of all authors that were assigned that same tag.

This is an example of what it could look like.

ok, will explain even better:
I am having 30 authors writing posts in my website, and each one has an area of expertise. (they are dentists, so: whitening, orthodontics, 3d printing etc) and would like these areas to work as tags within their author box that by clicking on them I have a list of posts with similar tags but from other authors as well.
