If you use the post editor in plain text view can you change the text to italic? Aka is the problem only when you are writing posts/pages in html?

Okay I created a new page that will be used as a blog and copied the old page template to this one. Not really solved but at least I can see it.

I hastily deleted the blog.herchenrother.com subdomain thinking it would revert everything back to normal. Do I need to…recreate it?

The only problem is that I still need what I wrote in my functions file originally and I don’t understand what about it cause the problem as those glitches reappear when I paste the previous php back into the functions file

no I’m running my site locally through MAMP until it’s ready to go live

Update: completely deleted functions.php and recreated it but left it blank and now the glitches are gone but obviously I have an empty functions file now and not sure what was wrong with the first one…

everything goes back to normal when I revert to twentytwelve
