Yes, I have been on Chat with one.com for 3 days now. They had me erase a number of PHP files and edit a number more and delete lines of code – seems like a random walk since it just gets worse every time.

I am not WordPress programming qualified – so the instructions they give me are confusing.

Last tech said I need to refresh the wordpress files – he sent me two articles that seem to contradict each other. Eventually, I erased two directories – wp-admin and wp-common and tried to reinstall them by downloading wordpress and copying the files to the one.com site – now it is worse than ever.

I need a simple, tested, set of instructions to replace the wordpress files they had me erase and modify – the changes can’t be good.

I’d love to pay someone and just make the problems be someone who knows wordpress problems.

The original malware they claim I have was either from a refresh and upgrade of WordPress that was done automatically, or from me installing a plug-in. I have no way of knowing.

I can also restore from 2 weeks ago and re-insert the several changes – but I don’t know how to refresh wordpress without destroying my content.

Anyway, thanks for your note – and correct observation that my site is trashed.

Thank you! I’ve been on the chat with one.com for nearly 2 days. We are moving backwards. They claim I have 5 malware files on WordPress – and want me to fix that. I don’t thank i have that skill!!

My next project is to find another provider and see how to move my content from One.com to the new provider.

It shouldn’t be this hard.

Hi, Up until a few weeks ago, my site’s menus scrolled with no problems. Now sometimes they scroll and most times they don’t. I can’t see a pattern.

The menu scrolling works sometimes when I enable some sub-menus.
