    Hi everyone.

    I have UpdraftPlus v1.22.1 on PHP8, WordPress 5.8.3 and u-Design theme 3.4.18 (with u-design child theme)

I’ve been using UpdraftPlus (free) for backups for years, fortunately never had to do a restore!

Today I just checked to see why the zipped files containing my child theme were smaller than I expected and found the child theme folders were empty in the zip files. I checked the logs and there were no errors or warnings. After a Google search I also searched for a donotbackup file (in the whole site) and found none.

Any advice appreciated – these are probably the most critical files on the site!

    Cheers
    …Steve

    Hi Steve,

Can you try to download the backup file directly from your storage?
If it is saved in the local server it can be found in the “wp-content/updraft” folder.

    Thanks,
    Bryle

Thanks for the quick response Bryle.

Just found out that there are 6 files with Themes backups in, some of them have empty folders, others have the actual files in.

So all good, on the assumption that using UpdraftPlus to restore somehow glues them all back together:-)

    Thank you again.
    Cheers…Steve
