    It does display the blog posts correctly when I update to that setting.

    If that’s the best way to solve the issue, how might I edit this template so that I can add custom elements that only appear on the homepage? I’d like a blog page too, that includes the posts in a similar fashion, but doesn’t include the massive strapline.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the reply! Password plugin disabled.

    It’s a duplicated instance of wordpress, installed in the /spring2023/ subfolder, while I work on a redesign of the site.

    I have disabled all plugins and the problem persists. Any ideas?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

    This is working for me now – solution below for anyone googling the same issue!

    There are TWO logs in the backend of WordPress, only one of which has all the data!

    Export from here: Settings > Email before download > ‘Click to export the Email Before Download log as a .CSV file’

    NOT here: Downloads > Logs > Export CSV

    Thanks for all the help dtynan!

    Hi dtynan,

    Thanks for such a comprehensive response! We’re only using single downloads but they are inline. I’ll try some of your suggestions and see if they help! Thanks again!

    Hi guys,

    Just to confirm – I created a fresh installation of WordPress with no plugins activated, using the twentyfifteen theme.
    I clicked ‘comments must be manually approved’.
    I created a brand new contributor.
    I commented on the ‘Hello World’ post as the test contributor.
    I created a draft post as the test contributor.
    Both of these went into the moderation queue – great!
    I logged in as admin and approved the pending post and comment.
    Now as a test contributor I can comment on my own post, bypassing both the ‘all comments must be manually approved’ queue, and also the comment moderation keyspace.

    Thanks.

    Hi Bet,

    Thanks for the reply! Yes – that button is checked. The authors this is happening to are all contributor-level.

    It only occurs on their own posts – once we approve their post then their subsequent comments (to that post alone) automatically publish.

    thanks,
    Mike

    Thanks jcastaneda – that’s fixed the greyness of it so the image goes right to the bottom.

    The page is still much longer than I expect it to be, though.

    I tried changing ‘height’ to 100% in the html styling, and it didn’t resolve the problem.

    I’d definitely like to stick to css.

    So can I use the unique id created in the div to modify the parameters of the class?
    So using <div id=”attachment_1098″> <p class=”wp-caption-text”> I could do something like this?

    #attachment_1098 .wp-caption-text p {
    font-family:pages-only-font;
    }

    and it will only modify the .wp-caption-text that’s inside that div, right?

    Thanks Esmi. I have Firebug – that’s what I used to inspect the code that WordPress was spitting out.

    My problem is that I want to add some kind of span or something to the image captions on ‘Pages’, but not to the image captions on ‘Blogs’. I am happy to insert these modifiers manually since the site doesn’t have that many pages.

    The problem is that when editing the captions in the HTML editor of the WordPress admin, captions are handled with the square-brackets code above, that I can’t fling modifiers into.
