Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Plugin: WP S3 Backups] Similar Plugin?Ya I think they are exactly the same. I get exactly the same errors on each of these plugins so it would stand to reason that the code is EXACTLY the same.
At any rate I haven’t heard of the Automatic WordPress Backup as being too readily supported if you have problems (unless you want to pay) so I’m guessing this one would be the same.
I’m on to the next trick I guess.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: restricting private content on a public websiteHi bjstone… I’m a partial n00b here so I apologize if my answer is not totally accurate, but seeing as how you posted 3 weeks ago and have received no help yet: maybe this will be better than nothing.
1. If you create one or even multiple user accounts in your wordpress dashboard and adjust their “role”, (even a role as a Subscriber) might work in your case here.
2. Create the pages you want and place them where ever you want in your page “structure”. When adding new pages you will see on the right column menu a bunch of options:
-one is “Parent” which sets what page you want directly over the page you are creating. Order means a numerical order of pages along the same “branch” of this pagestructure you are creating.
-the other is “Visibility” which sets either a password (anyone can see the page but has to enter a password to view it’s content), or private (meaning only logged in users can see the page and view its content). That’s about all there is to that. Might want to look into downloading and installing a Plugin on your site to assist with User Management if you going to have many users with unique capabilities.
