`Thank you for your detailed reply. Great! Now it works. What I did: Installed the Gutenberg plugin.

Then suddenly there were no more problems. What is strange: I deactivated the plugin after that – and it still works….

As for the column block: I may have overlooked this one, because the translation in German is wrong. There “row” is translated with ” Zeile”. But that in turn is called in English “line”.

So everything is perfect at the moment and I can build my start page.

Thanks for your answer. I am working with the Chaplin theme and would like to build a home page like this.

Here the six short texts are built after the cover image with the feature block of Coblocks. But I cannot select this feature block. When I hover the mouse over the block icon, the whole block selection disappears.

Here is a screenshot of my backend.(Dropbox-Link)

I have disabled all plugins and the problem persists. I also tested the thing with the default theme of wordpress.

Theme and plugin are up to date.

I can give you access to my site if you email me to this adress. Then you can access the backend yourself.

And just seen 1: I can’t see the “Resizable Row/Columns Blocks” block in my Coblocks list either….

Just seen 2: What do you mean with “Install and activate the Gutenberg WordPress plugin” on the instructions for installation? There is no “Gutenberg plugin” at all, my site works with Gutenberg, right?

Another question:

For this home page (only a test) I used the posts block. But in the frontend the distances between image and text are different. What is the reason for this?

I put the caption in the caption field, but this is what comes out:

Adding links to captions:

I set the link (f.ex. for a pixabay-image) directly in the mediathek in the field “description” – and this doesn’t work. Then I see in thre frontend the HTML-Code.

I would rather have the website title in the upper left corner. (Maybe I would replace it with a logo there later.

Other question: How can I change the font size in the text widget?

Oh my god. the options… I did’nt see that before… And the irritation was because there are two options to set the social media links – with a custom menu or with the theme options.

No, the problem is resolved since yesterday. I changed to NextCellent Gallery, works fine. Sorry about – and thanks for your help!
