Esmi Thank you for your advice I installed wordpress in a directory called wp and removed all the other installations and everything works great … Now i just have to spend some time and figure out how the links and RSS feeds and backgrounds and widgits etc. work…
Hope I don’t have to do too much code.
But as far as the installation goes we are looking good. fantasico is fantastic…

my domain name is https://www.jc-solarhomes.com. and I installed it to my root directory. Would if be best if had installed it to a directory within my root directory?
I did an automatic install from fantisico from cpanel. I don’t understand how the URL of pages are generated from wordpress.

I think this is my problem. I basicaly don’t understand how wordpress works.

From your dashboard you should be able to add a theme. i have done this but I don’t know the URL of my wordpress…
Is it https://myWEB/blog?

I would carefully check the extention of the file… sometimes there is confusion between JPG and jpg…

My problem is trying to figure out where the posts go. how do people find my posts. What is the URL of the post?

I was able to do the upgrade… i’m in now I just have to spend some time with themes and tools and links etc and figure out how everything works.
I am very excited.

Thank you so much Esmi. WordPress was installed and the login works..
Hip Hip Horaay… Now all I have to do is do the upgrade to 3.1…
There is no data worth saving on my 2.7 version.
Should I just delete all the old wp files from my rood directory and install the latest 3.1…? The upgrade looks a little tricky…
