It sounds like the ftpuser and user_list is on the setup of the server. I have a host provider, without root privliges. And I′m guessing your normal ftp was not working before you got things working here?

My normal ftp is working with filezilla, but not through the plugin upgrade.. Is there anyone that can point me in the right direction please? If this is well documented anywhere I would loove to get some tips. I have googled my ass of without any luck.. :-/

So if I understand you:
ftpuser and user_list, is this tables within wordpress?
or is that files somwhere in the wordpress installation?

As I said, I don′t think this is 3.1.1 related as I have another one running on the version before. But I suddenly have this as a problem, when it was working a few weeks ago… And the only thing I did for two of the sites was upgrade… any ideas?

I really don’t understand what can have happened.. I have other domains running wordpress aswell, but with fewer plugins though, but they are working fine..

Ok so this is what I tried to do now:

1. Changed the theme to twenty Ten.
2. Changed my plugins to plugins.hold and created a enpty plugins dir. In the admin all plugins is empty.
3. Looked at my page, I still don′t get any comment box to write comments to my posts, but the “comment closed” writing witch I saw before is gone…

So I′m still not quite there it seams… any other suggestions?

It should theoretically work at this point?
