I’m having the same issue (v3.3.3). The placeholder text doesn’t display for textarea fields as it’s pre-filled with some spaces and line break by default.
Otherwise awesome plugin!

I have exactly the same problem, it gets truncated after 20 characters. If this could be fixed, or a pointer given as to where I could temporarily tweak it in the code to show the full image description, that would be great.

And thanks for providing such a useful free plugin!
