In reply to: [RSS Post Importer] Plugin stopped working after v2.5.2Hi,
@ mattpont , If the feed are appearing blank after saving, it means there is space before of after the feed url when you entered it.
If there are no space, and it was inserted correctly, we may need to check for a bug.
You may contact me directly so I can isolate your case.

In reply to: [RSS Post Importer] Strange imported posts charactersHi Ahmed,
Thank you for reaching out.
This must be a coding issue.
We have receive same case as yours.
Can you try manually modifying feed.php WordPress file (in wp-includes folder), adding this line:
$feed->set_input_encoding("iso-8859-1");
[Moderator note: code fixed. Please wrap code in the backtick character or use the code button.]
Let me know if it works or email me at camille @feedspi.com.

In reply to: [RSS Post Importer] Importing is grabbing both tags and catergoriesHi Michael,
Thank you for choosing Feedsapi/ RSS Post Importer.
For the free version ,the plugin imports the posts along with the original tags.
If the option of selecting tags is not enabled, it will not import the tags along with the content.
Let me know if you have questions.

In reply to: [RSS Post Importer] RSS Importer QueryHi thecrazyreader,
Hope you are well.
You may refer your question to our blog https://www.feedsapi.com/blog/someone-stole-our-website/.
There are some sites that are syndicating their contents and some does establish security on theirs.
So I guess if that happens, you will really have to abide with what they require you to do, to avoid more conflicts.
Let me know if you have questions.

In reply to: [RSS Post Importer] Image ImportHi awaissarwar,
Thank you for reaching out.
We apologize but if you use the normal or basic version of the plugin, only summary of
the post is suppose to appear on the site.
If your main goal is to achieve a post with images and full content, I highly suggest
that you upgrade to Premium version of the plugin.
If you have questions, or you want to learn more about it, you may email me at [email protected].

In reply to: [RSS Post Importer] Featured image brought in twiceHi LinMcHugh,
Thank so much for reaching out.
The featured image is always the first image inside the content.
This is the way the plugin works to set featured images, some themes (wordpress themes) tend to display the feature image in the article as well, while other display the feature image in the landing page and then no feature image in the article itself when opened.
So in the first case, you will see the featured image in the landing page and see it again in the article itself on the top, the plugin however has a work-around to avoid this to happen, you need to do it is enable the featured image (SET to YES the DISABLE FEATURED IMAGE) to avoid ?duplicate“ images in the article… there’s an option for that in the plugin or you can alter their templates to avoid this, or disable feature image and set it manually afterwards, so those are the option the you have at the moment. There is no automate way to get one solution for this for all templates/themes, because each theme is different and follows a different convention, that may not be the same as other themes and strongly differ from one theme to another theme.
Let me know if you have questions, or you may email me at [email protected].
