In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Top Plugin – not the easiest to useHello,
Caching your site is not a ‘basic’ topic even if you are learning it as a developer. The said plugin can’t feed anything you need – they did their part and you should too.
No automated best setting can be given to you when it comes to caching because it all depends on your site and other techincal stuff. Caching is one of the topic you must research before using it – so you will have a better result and you can use the said plugin to the full extend.
Forum: Localhost Installs
In reply to: Transfer from MAMP to BluehostYou can:
Install a migration plugin that will take care this for you.
There are many free and paid migration plugin on the internet.
BackupBuddy(paid)You can install new wordpress theme in your bluehost. Put your theme there.
Export your local database as sql. open the exported sql file then replace all occuring match of your local url to the desired url. example: https://localhost => https://example.com .Import it on the server, don’t use the 5-min install instead rename the wp-config-sample.php to wp-config then manual fill the database credentials. Check if it works if not ask for assistance. You better try it yourself if you want to learn your way around wordpress ??

In reply to: i have big problem with my Blog.If you want to delete the offending plugin thru FTP – remember the name of the plugin and go to /wp-content/plugins/name-of-the-plugin. I am sure it will be a folder/directory. delete that folder then try to access your admin dashboard.
do you use some sort of plugin comments? check each page(if you have few pages) if there is a form for comment.
