    That doesn’t work, unfortunately. By default, links throughout the site were not underlined (and there isn’t a customization to turn that feature on). So I used this css to make that happen: a { text-decoration: underline;
    That worked, but I don’t want the primary menu to be underlined. Wondering if there is css that I can use to just have the menu links NOT display that underline?

    I do still need help. When I go to Appearance > Customize > Footer, there is no option for hover color in the Style panel, or anywhere in this Footer section. I can change text color, but not hover color. Any ideas here?

    Thanks, please note that I tried deactivating all plugins, purging browser cache, and flushing cache through my hosting service.

    Thank you! That did remove this content, but there’s now a blank space where that content was, so everything appears shifted to the right/off-center. Any suggestions for fixing that? Here’s an example of how the pages looks. The permalink/date/author were to the left of the image.

    It’s odd, when I try to login to this page: https://elizabethaschultz.com/wp-login.php , I get the error message again ( Fatal error: Call to undefined method DateTime::createFromFormat() in /home/content/68/14012068/html/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wfAPI.php on line 106 ). But then using a new tab, I’m able to visit the site and see the “edit” button, so I can login this way.
    I deleted these plugins since i wasn’t using them. But it seems there is still some error, but at least I can, for now at least, still login and see the site. No clue what the issue with line 106 would even be.

    Yes, @wfalaa, that’s what it was. I deactivated all my plugins, and now Wordfence works again. Luckily I didn’t need/rely too heavily on the plugins. Thank you!

    This is a dumb question, I know. But to update the PHP, is that something I work with my hosting provider to update, or is that based in the WordPress theme I’m using? My WordPress version is fully up to date. Thanks!

    (@caitlinmccartan)

    Would that be in the Advanced Settings area? If so, the CSS is the same in child as original, and i’ve included below. The main thing that I see as a red flag is the Widget area. They won’t display at all when i look at them in the Child Theme, and 4 of the 6 show in the original theme (though the site appears fine). Let me know if I should look elsewhere. I didn’t do any creative re-working of the theme in building the site, so i’m not sure what else could be out of wack.

    #nav-main ul.sf-menu a:hover {
    color:#6B160B;
    }

    #nav-main ul.sf-menu li.current-menu-item > a {background: #A78C7A;}

    .page-header {
    display: none;
    }

    @media (min-width: 992px) {
    .entry-content {
    padding-left: 100px;
    padding-right: 100px;
    }
    }

    Thread Starter CAM

    (@caitlinmccartan)

    Correct. I had been using a Child Theme, and since my forum post, I tried viewing the site using a live preview of the original theme. At first, there were a number of errors at the top of the page involving widgets. I randomly just tried the preview again, and it’s showing fine…so I switched off the child theme.
    Wondering if I should make a new child theme now? Strange that this gave me errors before but not now.

    Sorry, just noticed that on a phone it doesn’t work properly (text space is super thin). Is there way for this to work better responsively?

    Would this menu be responsive as well?

    Thank you, but how would I customize the look/feel of that sidebar? I’d like to change the font size, styling, hover state, background color, etc.
