In reply to: /page/2/ = Page Not FoundWell, it is.
As I replied to you in the other thread, even with all plugins off and with all default settings this still happens, both problems.
The only permalink string I am using is /%category%/%postname%/

In reply to: Upgrading to 2.8 killed all my pages, 404 errorI made a back up yes, but my website gets updated daily, so the old backup is obsolete now.
I am not using any permalink modifying plugins, and in fact even when ALL plugins are disabled it still doesnt work.
The only permalink string I am using is for posts, and this does not affect posts only pages. Anyway that is /%category%/%postname%/
The category base has been renamed to section, but even with it as default it does not work, and categories dont apply to pages anyway do they?

In reply to: /page/2/ = Page Not Found^^ I have that plugin but doing what you did is not an option.
So I am still yet to fix this.
Seriously why are basic functions in wordpress totally broken like this?
How can I updated the “Previous Page” or “Next Page” links to include ….com/catagory/news/page/2/ instead of just being ….com/news/page/2/ and not working?

In reply to: MY email is sending spam to people…People can fake your email address and send fake emails from your account. They have a email sender that lets them specify which “from” to include.
This is pretty common and there is nothing you can do about it. However if you look at the complete header information for the email and compare it to yours it will be different. If the original header isnt different, then yes, you have a security breach, but I doubt it, as this is a pretty common problem.

In reply to: Appearance – Footer inserting backslash to escape charactersI can confirm this works. Why would this suddenly change from 2.7 to 2.8 without warning I dont know.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Appearance – Footer inserting backslash to escape charactersI get the exact same thing since upgrading to 2.8 with double quotes.
My pages are also all returning 404 errors now, pages, not posts.

In reply to: Upgrading to 2.8 killed all my pages, 404 error^^^ I have done that, as mentioned in the first post.
No luck.

In reply to: Upgrading to 2.8 killed all my pages, 404 error^^ I cant see ANY pages anymore. They used to work just fine, now they dont. They are all published. Everything is set up fine to work, Ive checked over and over again.
However I made a mistake in my previous post, turning permalinks off and going to https://www.streethop.com/?page_id=418 DOES work. But with permalinks on it redirects to a 404. So it is definitely a redirect error that has come up somehow since the upgrade.
My .htaccess file has not changed, and the redirects are internal anyway right? the rewrite.php file has not changed. Ive tried chmoding it to 777 and saving the page again thinking it might update something, but it still does not work at all.

In reply to: Upgrading to 2.8 killed all my pages, 404 errorEjMama, I cant even access it with the default link, I get a Page Not Found error regardless if permalinks are turned off or on.
Right now the page is not being linked to anywhere because the link is broken, using page list plus I can hide it, and no, deactivating that plugin does not fix it. I had all plugins deactivted with default theme and it STILL did not work.
As for the link it the footer. Wow, that looks like another 2.8 bug, not matter how I save the footer it adds \’s to the URL. Weird.
Great, more upgrade problems. It so was not worth it to be honest. 2.7 worked PERFECTLY.
swyx: that’s because that is a blog POST, not a PAGE. But thank you for replying.

In reply to: /page/2/ = Page Not FoundBut then why do the auto generated links point to https://www.streethop.com/news/page/3/ and not https://www.streethop.com/category/news/page/3/ ? How do I fix that?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: /page/2/ = Page Not FoundI checked the default theme… Same problem. I deactivated all plugins…. Same problem.

In reply to: /none at the end of permalinks? Can you please post your redirect?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: /none at the end of permalinks?^^ Youre right about it being opensource and I apologize for being frustrated, but well, it’s a frustrating problem.
Ive checked the search engine traffic, and there’s nothing that should make it /none on the end at all. There are no real URLS with /none on the end on my site.
There are no /none links in the sitemap.
So I have no idea what is causing this but its becoming a big problem, and is very frustrating.
