Hi
The saving of templates is planned for the next major release of the plugin. The next major release not including bug fixes is planned to be released March 1.
The two options will be in the advanced version only.

Hi Alan
I am back to work, and looking at these options, Scribus is a desktop application and does not rely on a browser to perform the actions, we are limited to what the browser will allow us to do.
The linking of text boxes is planned in our upgrade model, it is hard to say if all the browser will play nice with the option added. Many options are not in the editor do to quarks in behavior in one or more browser. Example : Images backgrounds in text boxes are being completed now with a work around, however they have been delayed 2 years do to browsers not setting the HTML correctly, and the problem still has not been corrected by 2 major browsers.
The linking of boxes to auto move text is planned for the next major upgrade.

The editor has many types of toolbars ? are you talking about the WordPress admin toolbar at the top that allows you to create a new Simply Symphony page or is the editor loaded, if the editor is loaded you will need to create a new text box first, icon top left is new html text box. There is video help in the editor also.
Yes, I was not sure the option was available in the free version or not.
The editor is based on progressive enhancements, which basically means it uses multiple web technologies to enhance the look.
In terms of a developer it would be called a “Adaptive Responsive” page.
If it is a mobile device the mobile page is chosen and then resized to fit the mobile device.
This allows the page to have the same design and look in all devices versus just “Responsive” which pushes the content down the page when shrunk.
The rulers at the top of the editor are in pixels the mobile view is 325 pixels in the paid versions its 500 or so pixels.
The free version uses a 325px iphone 3 screen for the size of the canvas in the editor and then enlarges the page up to fit the screens of larger mobile devices.
The paid version I would have to look up the exact size of the canvas, but I think it is 500px and it adjusts in either smaller or larger directions depending upon users device. The paid version has less scaling and has more screen resolutions programmed into it, and the larger canvas makes it easier to use.
Typically the ipad is about 800px and and the scaling is not drastic.
I hope this helps.
Any positive feed back you can leave for the plugin is always appreciate.
JohnBackground videos are disabled by by mobile providers to keep the bandwidth down, there is no way to auto start a background video without a user who interfaces with a control of the video. all scripting is ignored.
I just remembered the free version and paid work different and I am not sure, I will look into it and put it in the faq. I do know that the paid version uses a bigger mobile canvas so the objects are not as enlarged. about 1/2 the enlargement.
Did this work for you?
2.0.5 is published but has no changes, it was update because a link was wrong. I typically release a version update 1 time week, but I have been taking a break from the program for a 2 months.
I will be working on new versions next week.

Hi
This plugin is not a theme.
John
Hi
Right of my head I do not know, but I remember a possible toggle in options.
Go to the options in the editor, and try:
Do not parse HTML
Do not parse canvasI remember do not parse canvas checked did it.
One of the combinations of checked options produced that result I think.
Hi
Depending on the layout type you can add classes and id to objects in the Advanced version also add / edit HTML objects. But it has some limitations for the page as a whole because it must maintain a drag and drop format.
John
Hi
In the future templates are planned.
John
Hi
I will see what can be done in future releases about this.
John
Hi
Glad it is working now, DocX is available in the full version, mostly because the average user is not careful when pasting the full HTML and breaks the page. I will see what can be done for documentation in the next month.
Thanks
John
