As far as I know, the default RSS feeds are being used.

The RSS is not being displayed on one of the WP sites. I use WP for the blogs on my news site but the news site itself is not in WP. I use the RSS feed to display the last 6 posts from the blogs on the separate news site.

Dunno if this will fix your problem, but turning on Compatability View in IE 8 solved this problem for me. Found a post about it here — https://www.mydigitallife.info/2010/04/10/wordpress-editor-jumps-up-to-top-or-beginning-of-text-in-ie8/ — and gave it a shot; worked immediately, which was fortunate for the continuing health of my laptop.

If you use the automatic upgrade to move to 2.8, you will likely get problems with your admin pages and your visual editor. What has been suggested elsewhere (and worked for me) was to download 2.8, deactivate your plugins, delete your wp-admin and wp-includes folders, and upload those folders from the new version. Then log back in, reactivate your plugins one by one, and it should work.

Social Media Page was the only one of my plugins that I couldn’t reactivate.

Same problem as everyone here. Did as suggested: deactivated all the plugins, deleted wp-admin and wp-includes, uploaded them manually, logged back in. I have a visual editor again! Woo!

Now heading back in to activate plugins, carefully…

Same problem, was missing 2 years worth of posts in export file. Changed the wp-settings after reading this, all is well. Whew! Thanks!

That could be it – this theme doesn’t have one. It didn’t have one before and worked fine, but I guess 2.5 requires it?

What needs to be in it? The one in the supplied “classic” theme only has a register_sidebar function. What do I need to add for this?
