Disallow Animated GIFs as plugin

  • Please consider not allowing animated GIFs to be used for the plugin avatar. The Events Calendar, Woocommerce and lots of others use these and it is not ADA compliant, plus it’s annoying. Thank you!

    I certainly agree it’s annoying, along with keyword-stuffed plugin names. However, both are allowed by the plugin guidelines.

    I understand that they are allowed, my request is that they be disallowed. Is this the correct forum to make that request?

    No. If you want to make the case, you could contact the plugins team, as they set the plugin guidelines. plugins (at) wordpress (dot) org
