Still not working.
I logged out and logged back in, I’ve even tried incognito.
Is there an email I can send my request to?
Hard refreshed and it’s still not working.
When I try to submit a ticket I receive this message: https://d.pr/i/985Wmr
No, my VPN is not active.
Update: I heard back from PublishPress, they said:
The Free version of this plugin supports the WordPress core. For data stored in extra plugins like this, you will need the Pro version: https://publishpress.com/revisions
I upgraded but am still experiencing the issue.
Did you hear anything from them on GitHub?
I upgraded to Pro but I’m still experiencing the Web Stories conflict. What should I do next?
I’ve identified the plugin causing the issue, it’s PublishPress Revisions.
I opened a ticket with them to begin troubleshooting, but if you have any suggestions from your end, please let me know.
Just to clarify- we can make an initial edit, but when we click ‘update’ and then go back to the story it appears as a single white page.
Yes, that is correct. We can see and edit the images.
We cannot edit or update a published story. When we do, the whole story appears as a single white page.
Please let me know if you would like us to attach screenshots.
Update: we added a CORS configuration to S3 at Media Clouds suggestion, and now we can see images, but we still can’t edit them.
What are our next steps?
Looks like WAF wasn’t on to begin with, so we can rule that out as a factor.
We’ll try and isolate the plugins.
We are using Cloudflare, so how would we go about troubleshooting to see if Cloudflare’s WAF is causing the issues?
Specifically with regards to editing existing stories:
I create a new story. Everything looks good. I hit publish. Everything looks good on the front end and the back end.
If I need to make an edit I go to ‘Stories’ -> open in editor, or I go to ‘All Stories’ -> Edit / quick edit. I have tried editing all 3 ways. The story remains intact and looks good at this stage.
I make a minor edit to the story (either text or photo) and then click update. The update appears to go smoothly. No pop-ups or notifications. I click in the navigation bar to the main Web stories home page. The story is no longer visible under ‘My Stories’. It is accounted for under “Viewing all # Stories” and “Published”, but not it is not visible with the other stories. The numbers at the top do not match the stories visible under ‘My Stories’.
The only way I can see the story now is by clicking “All Stories”. Under ‘All Stories” everything is visible by title and publish date. When I click to open the story, or click ‘edit’, or ‘quick edit’ the story has now become a single white blank page. No photos, no text. The only remaining indication that it is my original story is the title remains at the top.
Sometimes the edit is visible on the published version and everything looks fine on the front end. Other times the edit does not take and the published version just appears as a single white page. No matter what, after I make an edit on the story it morphs on the back end into a single white page with just the title at the top.You can see all of the published stories here: https://www.onegoodthingbyjillee.com/web-stories/ The most recent story- Gardener’s Hand Scrub was published correctly, the Google team saw it and requested an edit. I made the edit, but the post then turned into a single white slide.
I expect to be able to make edits to an existing story that was published. However, the outcome is the first edit I make the story turns into a single white slide and I lose the ability to not only edit, but to see the story I created.
There are no console errors at all when I try to edit the story or press ‘update’.
The media library does show when I have the Media Cloud Plugin disabled. But I’m still unable to edit existing stories.
I’ve used the Troubleshooting plugin to find out if there’s a plugin that the reason I can’t edit existing stories, but haven’t had any success.
