In reply to: Menu content problem in IEWait, where? Would you take pity on someone with only a week’s worth of .css experience and who wants to restore the delightful elegance of your initial code? (I’m assuming flattery works in these cases…)

In reply to: Menu content problem in IERoot: And I’ve had a bunch of fun tweaking ‘Gemini’. It’s amazing how much you can learn when you can actually see what you’re doing… thanks for a great layout.
One very, very minor question (more a result of my own obsessive-compulsive tendencies than anything else): when I have a very short comment page (i.e. short entry, one short comment) the menu is too long for the page and ends up superimposed on the footer/background. I’m stumped with this one. Not major, but if you happen to read this and know of a quick fix… if not, no worries.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Menu content problem in IERoot: you weren’t kidding were you? I just switched to your very nice Gemini, which I’ll mess around with for a bit. I’m completely new to all this, but even I can see that the wp-layout.css is infinitely easier to understand. Cheers!

In reply to: Menu content problem in IEWell, I’ll keep things as they are for a bit in case anyone else has any answers, but if not will probably switch to Root’s ‘Gemini’ and tweak that.

In reply to: Menu content problem in IEAssuming I do have to implement another layout, can anyone suggest something nice and stable that looks reasonably like what I have? I still have hopes to salvage this one (<— cry for help), but if I have to ditch it for something else can anyone suggest something similar to what I have now? Without the bugs, that is…

In reply to: Menu content problem in IEHmmm… I’ll try to play around with these numbers (while having absolutely no idea what on earth I’m doing).

In reply to: Menu content problem in IEBut it’s so pretty! Aside from the buginess, that is. In all seriousness, thanks for your thoughts. For new folks like me it’s hard to tell what’s borked and what isn’t. It sounds like I may have my work cut out for me here, but if anyone can offer suggestions for a fix without switching styles I’m all ears…

In reply to: Menu content problem in IEDoes this mean there’s no hope (aside from seeking out the designer)? Would it help to try to get rid of the weird highlight thingy (I’m not being very articulate am I? I mean the fact that each menu link is highlighted when you place the cursor over it…)? There must be some brave souls out there with suggestions!

In reply to: Menu content problem in IEHa! Yes it is… I know I’m missing an in-joke somewhere here, but please tell me it’s fixable!
