Looks like Similar Posts Version 2.6.2.0 | By Rob Marsh, SJ is interacting in a new way, and with that deactivated I get the expected view in post view.

All plugins off, looks good. So it’s a plugin problem. Checking them back on now.

No caching plugin. I’ll go turn off plugins and check, then turn back on one at a time and check.

Deactivating FB plugin gets rid of the error messages, but the resulting twitter post still looks properly formatted on the blog homepage but not when viewed as an individual post.

This behaviour appears to have been corrected by upgrading my hosting account from PHP 4.x to PHP 5.

I had my host update the PHP version on my hosting account from 4.x to 5 and now the feeds show up properly on the dashboard, on my blog, and the video embed based on a url works properly. I would say that several functions in WordPress 2.9 require php 5.x to work properly

I also am seeing this. Even the WordPress links for development blog and news on the dashboard show the error: RSS Error: The data could not be converted to UTF-8
