OK, 1st of all, the downloaded file is a .zip. I have a special folder that I save them in. Then from the WordPress dashboard, I click on appearance, add new themes, then upload. WordPress only allows you to upload themes in a .zip format. I browse for the file on my computer, and then click on the install now button. The result is what I put in my original post.

I am not unpacking, I am not using FTP, not invoking an ASCII format (haven’t heard that acronym in a long time!).

I may have to go to templatemo.com and search for answers there, unless you have other ideas. Thanks again for trying to help!

Agreed, that is what the error message says ….

The file size is 3.93 KB and I had not opened it in a text editor until you suggested it. I must admit, I have had exposure to basic HTML coding in years past, but I am a total novice with CSS. But when I open it in notepad, it looks very simular to other sytle.css files from other themes on my server.

The themes that I have installed that are working were installed within WordPress. The themes I am having trouble with are those that I have downloaded (as .zip files) from templatemo.com and then attemped to install to WordPress. I was hoping that somebody on here had run into the same issue and had a quick fix.

I am wide open to any other ideas or suggestions you may have.

The weather in the state of Georgia, USA is not much different! We’ve remained dry today, but it’s been windy and very cold for far too long, with many wet days (and even a few inches of snow) in recent weeks.

esmi – Thank you for your help. But that doesn’t seem to be the problem. When I look at the files on the server, within the theme folder, style.css is there. Any other ideas? And how’s the weather in Liverpool?
