In reply to: charset `UTF-6' not supported, … need help on how to fix it…Ahh… it was an easy fix, or at least for me it was. The new wordpress doesn’t support UTF-6. I was also on an version of wordpress… But all I did was go into Settings -> Reading change the UTF setting to UTF-8.
If it’s not there, research how to change it for your version of wordpress.
Past that I can’t be of much more help…. Hope it works!

In reply to: [Age Verify] Age Verify Is showing up on random pagesI was able to solve the issue this morning. Another developer had installed WP Super Cache plugin and it was messing with all the plugins, but mainly the age verification. Thanks for the reply though!

In reply to: [WP Splash Page] Activates anytime the homepage is hitThat was it! Thank you so much for your help, and that is a great article. I didn’t think about it, because I wasn’t the developer who installed that particular plugin…
I didn’t end up using the plugin, but the issue was solved. And this plugin works beautifully. The only reason I’m not using it is the client preferred a checkbox vs. having to enter the date.
Thank you again for your assistance!

In reply to: [WP Splash Page] Activates anytime the homepage is hitIt seems to be working now… I think I might have fixed it. I am going to wait a few hours until I respond, yes it is working. Usually it takes a while for the problem to appear after I fix it.
Uninstalled/reinstalled plugin. I created a new page and applied the homepage template. The weird thing is, I don’t even have to apply this as the homepage… just making a page and applying the theme seems to work. This was also happening with the other age verification gins I was trying to use.
And lastly, this time I deactivated a plugin called WP Super Cache. I don’t think this would create an issue, but I did just to try it.
Will post update later on if it is fixed or not. Thanks!

In reply to: [WP Splash Page] Activates anytime the homepage is hit- I’m using the Twenty Twelve theme and then have customized it to my design needs.
- No I am not blocking cookies
- It only happens when I return home. I have tried other age verification plugins and they randomly block a single page of not my settings. This is the first one that only seems to block the homepage time and again.
The website url is: onegrouphosting.com/chilis
Thank you so much for your help!

In reply to: [Age Verify] Age Verify Is showing up on random pagesOne suggestion I have received is to change the setting to guest only, which it is currently set that way.
Another oddity I have figured out: So it blocks the whole site = good. Then a page is randomly block, that I haven’t set to be blocked. If I add a new page, then this random block disappears and everything seems fine.

In reply to: WYSIWYGwith some of them. So if it’s a normal special character, ‘ ” – $ etc. It allows me type it in and it works. If it’s something as an m-dash or something I would hold down the option key to get, it doesn’t.
I did reset the plugins.
Could this be a server issue not recognizing the characters?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: WYSIWYGOk, played with it a little more. The editor deletes all copy after the first special character. Example: This is Spot’s toy. When I save or update it, it deletes it all the way back to the apostrophe. So it will read “This is Spot” . It works if I put in the html code for the characters, but as soon as a flip it back to visual mode and save, it deletes everything again. Any thoughts?
Thanks WPyogi & Aaron for help!

Already tried that.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: WYSIWYGI’ve also changed themes to see if it was a theme problem back to the normal twenty eleven theme and it still does it.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: WYSIWYGI’ve tried both HTML & Visual. And I’ve tried multiple different ways to paste it in, from word, from word to notepad to strip formatting, to the WYSIWYG.

In reply to: Trouble Logging in with Updated BrowsersI found out I can login in through any browser using /login instead of wp-admin. Thanks for your help!
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Trouble Logging in with Updated BrowsersI have already done all of the above.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Trouble Logging in with Updated BrowsersUnfortunately, that was the first thing I tried, and it doesn’t work. I contacted the people that were working on it before me and they said they had the same issue and were never able to figure it out.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Trouble Logging in with Updated BrowsersI tried both, and neither worked.
-I completely deleted all plugin files to see if plugins were interfering. Tried logging and it that didn’t help.
-I replaced the twenty twelve files with a freshly downloaded version of twenty twelve, switched the theme to the new twentytwelve files, and login failed.
I think I might of narrowed it down to maybe a browser setting issue?
