Thank you for understanding what I was meaning…
I was rushed when I posted that, and should have given the link to which one I was talking about… LOLI have to admit, I like how you do your tutorials, very nicely laid out and informative. ??

In reply to: [Flat] Register Page issuesSorry, had to change the theme, for a bit, as testing things out.
But, I still would prefer to use your theme, and hope a fix can be made. ??Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Flat] Register Page issuesI had to, on that site, but still using it on another site.
I had forgotten to post the link to that one, sorry… LOLAs can see, the reg page really ends up with a messed up layout.
Any way to fix this, as I really love this theme, and even have it on 2 other sites I’m working on.No change.
It’s not even getting to there, it seems.
It’s getting stopped before it gets there, that’s what the issue seems to be.Are the above settings I showed correct?
Still having issues, and not only it adding www, but it will not connect to the site.
I created a site, named test
In the Domain Mapping Configuration:
Server CNAME domain: bkpress.pwIn cPanel, I set the subdomain for one of my domains to:
blog.bktemplates.org. 14400 IN CNAME bkpress.pw
In Domain Mapping: Domains:
5 blog.bktemplates.org YesStill not working, and still adding the www.

In reply to: [WordPress MU Domain Mapping] Way too many issues and such, to be useful.Ahhhh. Okay. I was misled by another topic here, where someone said we had to.
Now that I know this, it sounds a lot better.Forum: Reviews
In reply to: [WordPress MU Domain Mapping] Way too many issues and such, to be useful.Your users can use their site subdomain as a CNAME in their DNS which will get requests for the domain to your install.
So, if they do this, I wont have to park their domain?
Well, DM plugin had been uninstalled, and there’s no way to test it, if can’t map the domain to the blog, now is there?
It’s not the main blog that is redirecting. It’s the domain set to be mapped to a subdomain blog.
For example: I set up a blog site via my multisite, call it test.myblog.com
I try to map blog.name.com to point to test.myblog.com and it redirects to: https://www.blog.name.com with a not found error.Maybe I did not explain exactly what I meant, before, as it was a long day… LOL

In reply to: [WordPress MU Domain Mapping] Way too many issues and such, to be useful. How are we supposed to park domains that are not ours?
One of the points of doing multisites, is to let people come and sign up to get their own blog. They’d have to contact us, to have us park their domain onto the same server as the blog? To me, that sounds very strange. As for the www, I replied to you there.
Look, I know how I set it up. I set for blog.domain.com and the https://www.name.com was pointing to the domain’s own site.
It was not the DNS settings, as I tried it on multiple domains, same issue.
Also, why would anyone set up a www for a subdomain? Like said, the domain and www were set to where the domain was added, in cPanel, to it’s own site. I tried to set blog.domain.com to point to the blog for that site, on my multisite setup on another domain. Now, I had thought, maybe it was due to both domains being active on same cPanel account, but then tried another domain, on another account, and same thing. Whenever I set blog.name.com it open and redirects to https://www.blog.name.com

1. I am sorry to say, your “expert” instructions, are not so expert, and can lead people to do things to their sites that are not needed.
2. There is NO sense to what you said here:
The WordPress code must be installed in /public_html so the multi-site features can work. So, you’ll want to move your existing web site to a new location on the server.
As long as they add a domain, and it makes the required document folder for it, that will work. There is NO need to move their primary site from the root public_html folder into another directory.
What you are telling them, not only is MIS-information, but depending on what software they are using for their site located there, can seriously cause issues and break their site!
Yes, I do agree, that in some cases, if all they plan on having is a site and the multisite blog on the hosting account, they could do the move, if it would not break their current site. However, to state that WP MS needs to be there, is false, and I am shocked that someone from WP had not seen that and commented.

In reply to: [Flat] Adding FontWell, this ended up a little too late.
The site went from WP to another software, user choice, not mine. ??Isn’t that the way it goes now a days? LOL
Thanks anyway, and I’ll be sure to remember this for any future sites that need font changes with this awesome theme. ??

Well, goes to show how little some people care about their customizations they make.
I see updates being done, but not one reply to a support question? That’s just wrong, in my books.

In reply to: [Visage] Does not change avatar when select.I have since uninstalled this, and am using the BuddyPress plugin.
I was more just informing you of the issue. There were no other plugins that had any effect on this at the time, as this and Akisimet were the only plugins installed and active at that time.
