Sorry, visit this page for instance, “https://www.buristudios.com/?p=38” with multiple tabs open. Or favorite it and see what it puts in the title. Where in the code would I go to fix this? Sorry I know I am new if you need more information just ask and I’ll post what you’d like. As I don’t know coding very well I don’t know where to begin looking and so cannot isolate the probable errors I’ve made in editing .php header files and that sort of thing. I’m assuming it’s something I did considering the fact that it was working before I went in to fix a different problem and then this one popped up.

Thank you so much for your time and help. If you believe it’s neccasary I’ll reinstall everything but it did take so much work to get it to where it currently is!

Thank you but I do not understand how this would enable me to solve my problem?

Thank you both for your replies!

Samboll yes I have. I realized afterwards however that I had made the first few categories before I activated the theme on my website and the rest afterwards. The ones created afterwards were numbered in an odd way so perhaps it interferred with that. My permalinks are set to default, do you have a suggestion on how to better organize them?

Lastly I had a realization last night that turned out to work. I copied the last part of my web address,
“/?p=35” into this section of the header.php code,
    “<li class=”bk6”>/?cat=6″>Category 6
    – so it looked like this, “<li class=”bk6”>/?p=35″>Category 6

I hope this helps someone else! I had not realized this before because as I stated I’m new to web development and do not know my way around the code. Is there any way to ‘re’order the permalinks so they are in some sort of logical set? For instance buristudios.com/category/abstract instead of buristudios.com/?p=27 . I tried editing the permalinks but it did not appear to do anything. Perhaps it has something to do with the cache?

    Thank you again!

Please help… This has really got me confused and I’m sure it’d be just a few easy steps for someone with experience…

Just as a reference, here is my site. You’ll see what’s described if you click on the header images while watching the url they ‘think’ they are supposed to link to, and then clicking the categories and looking at the values stuck on the end of the url’s there.

Dynamic, I’m having the same problem no. I know it’s unlikely you’ll look back on this but I really need a solution if you or anybody reading this has one. Please please help us both, I absolutely love this theme and would hate to have to throw it away because of a simple error that anybody with minor programming/web developing experience could help solve.

Basically ‘our’ problem is word press is installing random category numbers for each category. It will go from #1 to 9, 10, then back to 3. This plugin is designed to connect to category numbers 1 through 7. The real question is, why is wordpress creating categories based on this seemingly random numbering system?

This problem is still not solved in case the last post confused any readers. I’ve noticed that when I click on the header pictures they all go to cat1 cat2 cat3 just like they are supposed to. However when I click on the categories themselves they go to seemingly random cat numbers such as 9,4, and 10. I don’t know how to control that however. If I can fix that problem, my problem here should be solved. Any ideas?

It looks as if I’ve linked Buri Studios incorrectly. Apologies,
