    Development update

Our developers have found the root of the issue, and solution is slated to be in our next version release v4.5. While I’m unable to say a exact release date, we can expect it within the coming weeks after proper testing has been completed for this as well as the other changes involved in version 4.5.

    Hello there @raggeddesign

Thanks for all the details and the testing you’ve done so far.

Ran some tests on my end and was able to replicate the issue of blurry images in the Mailchimp Campaign builder, and brought these details to the attention to our devs. As soon as we know more on what the resolution will be and how soon it can be implemented we’ll be sure to update this thread.

    Thanks again.

Hey there by default all product and order information is sent to Mailchimp where it is available for segmenting. There is no action or setting necessary to use these features in Mailchimp. We suggest logging into your Mailchimp account and view the Audience segmenting options by E-commerce Activity. While we don’t mind pointing folks in the right direction. providing support for how to use Mailchimp account features is something a bit outside of the scope of support here as we mainly focus on the plugin development. In the meantime check out the following guide:??https://mailchimp.com/help/segment-purchase-activity/?

However if in the event product or e-commerce data is not syncing over to Mailchimp and is not showing in the segmenting options in the Mailchimp account, that could be a different issue, and in that case we would like to investigate but will need the Remote diagnostics turned on for your store as well as the store URL.

@emeove We’ve developed a solution that will be included in the v4.4 of the plugin.

We’ve also included a solution that is available for you to include for your WordPress multi site network install immediately.

This is done by adding the following code to the wp-config.php file found in the root directory of the WordPress install. Please note that the code should be entered before the line stating “That’s all, stop editing!… “.

    define('RUNNING_CUSTOM_WOOCOMMERCE', true);

/* That's all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */

Hey there @emeove We were able to test and encountered the same issue, it seems recent updates have caused this issue and our developers are investigating a resolution. Unfortunately we don’t have a workaround to help with activation at the moment. Due to the nature of WordPress plugin development, when we do find the solution it will require the plugin to be updated.

While I can’t provide a time frame of exactly when a new update of the plugin will be released, I can assure you we’re diligently working to get this done as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.

@wattsyourwebsite From recent testing, we didn’t come across any conflicts, WooCommerce subscriptions should sync orders as normal to Mailchimp. Could you provide us with a bit more details such as the store URL, example order ids as well as any error or logs that shows the failure. Also which payment provider is in use? These details may help us get closer to finding a resolution.

We’ve ran tests on our end and found that the latest version of the plugin does support changing the subscribe text for the newsletter signup. This is supported in both the Classic Checkout and Blocks checkout.

If using the classic checkout the Subscribe text is changed from within the plugin settings found under the store tab under the Checkout page settings > Checkbox message as seen here: https://loom.com/i/e2c1e03e552a4ba6accee63453ccf6e0

If using the blocks checkout the change is made on the checkout page itself in the Site editor.

In case the problem persist, please let us know the plugin version as well as which checkout page version (blocks or classic).

Good day, currently the Mailchimp plugin doesn’t support the new WooCommerce ?Order Attribution Tracking UI. Essentially the plugin will have to properly take the Mailchimp Campaign tracking and apply it to the order.

Our developers have been made aware of this and are considering implementing the native WooCommerce Order attribution in a future release.

At this time I’m not aware of a method or filter that can be put in place to allow for this temporarily while we look to implement this functionality. However, I’ll. reach out to one of our colleagues, if it’s possible and will be sure to update this thread with more information.

    Hey there,

To help us get started with providing support, could you Enable support found on the Advanced tab of the plugin? (Screenshot: https://loom.com/i/1c339932f1744acd8cead147009bdfbd)

Also could you let us know the store URL? We’ll be able to take a look.

It’s also worth noting that on initial sync only orders that are in completed status initial sync over to Mailchimp.

In our next release we’ll bring back the option to be able to force a resync and will update this thread when done so.

    Good day @dvaer

At the moment there isn’t an explicit option for preventing all previous customers to Mailchimp no matter what. However the closest way to accomplish is by using our Sync existing contacts only setting that is found prior to initial sync starting.

What this setting does is only WooCommerce customers who are already in your Mailchimp audience to sync. So in a way if say 0 customers are in the Mailchimp Audience, then 0 customers will sync.

Note that ther Sync existing contacts only setting is only available after disconnecting and reconnecting and prior to starting the initial sync.

Hopefully this helps with decrease the concerns of an increased billing plan. Of course feel free to reach back for any further questions.

    Glad it worked out!

We’ll do keep that in mind about having to re-add it, in our testing to determine if it was some FSE block weirdness or something in the plugin.

    Have a good one.

Understood. Looks like we have an un accounted for use case scenario. From the screenshot provided, your checkout page is using the Blocks Checkout. This results in the Mailchimp plugin noticing that and changing the interface and removing the Checkbox message input form.

The problem is WordPress/WooCommerce hasn’t provided a blocks option for the My account page, this means that your site has a my-account page that is generated via the shortcut of [woocommerce_my_account] which would depend on the Checkbox message input form that we provide when using the Classic checkout block for the checkout page.

    How to fix it?

You’ll have to change your checkout page to the Classic checkout as seen in this screenshot when editing the checkout page: https://loom.com/i/6dba3e0706d7433cb2e7b4cf787c3fb6

( I totally understand this is in regards to the my-account page but please bare with me it will all makes sense)

Once the Checkout page is changed to classic Checkout and saved, the Mailchimp plugin will automatically recognize this and will display the checkbox message form I mentioned earlier where you’ll be able to make the edits as desired.

I’ll raise this issue with the my-account page not being block compatible, with my team to see if we can update a design UX that is accommodates this and is more intuitive.

Lastly, this is whole ordeal is due to the my-account page not yet having a Blocks option from WooCommerce natively. That is something not in our control but what is in our control is surfacing the editing tool for being able to make the necessary edits to both the my-account page and checkout page.

Indeed the my-account page! This will reflect the text input found under the checkbox message form. That Text form is found in the Mailchimp plugin on the Store tab and scroll to heading Checkbox message.

Screenshot of form in plugin: https://www.loom.com/i/48bdb5a05d6a4046a89045087be51b6d

Screenshot of affects on my-account page: https://www.loom.com/i/e5e71c9760514876a486f08b490983c8

As you’ll notice, teh same text entered in the form will also be reflected on both the checkout page and my-account page.

@marmasdelft Also being that this is decent size store with a steady flow of orders, we’d recommend looking into implementing our Advanced Queue CLI tool. This certainly helps with performance, using the Action Schedular.

    Here’s our documentations: https://github.com/mailchimp/mc-woocommerce/wiki/Advanced-Queue-Setup-In-CLI-mode
