Hi @dsciandra ,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Could you please try reinstalling PPWP Lite, navigating to the Sitewide Protection section in the PPWP settings, disabling the sitewide protection, and then checking if it works?
Additionally, could you clear your server-level cache (via your hosting server settings) and see if that resolves the issue?
As we checked, we didn’t encounter the password form when accessing your site.
Awaiting your reply.

In reply to: [PPWP - Password Protect Pages] Customize protection notice for excerpts?Hello @wpress2010,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
You can customize the default WordPress excerpt text or even replace it with a password form.
Replace the default WordPress excerpt by a custom text
function show_post_excerpt( $excerpt ) { if ( post_password_required() ) $excerpt = 'Custom message'; return $excerpt; } add_filter( 'the_excerpt', 'show_post_excerpt' );

Hello @fusionprime7,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
You can only choose one role at a time with the free version of our plugin.
Using the PDA Gold and the Access Restriction extension, you can select more than 1 role for individual files.
Check this out for more details: https://preventdirectaccess.com/docs/restrict-file-access-user-roles/
Let us know if you have any further questions.
Hi @takioh,
Thank you for your detailed feedback. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
We understand the importance of seamless WooCommerce functionality, especially with payment gateways like Stripe and PayPal. Many of our customers use our plugin with WooCommerce without any issues, so this may be a conflict specific to your setup. While the PDA WooCommerce extension enhances certain features—offering stronger protection for your files against sharing—our plugin can still be used with WooCommerce without requiring the extension.
The 500 error you mentioned, particularly when page rewriting occurs, isn’t expected behavior, and we’d like to investigate this further if you’re open to letting us assist. We also value your feedback regarding the WooCommerce integration in our paid extension, and we’ll work on making that information clearer for users.
Please reach out to our support team so we can help diagnose and resolve the issue.
Your input is invaluable, and we’re here to assist you!

In reply to: [Prevent Direct Access - Protect WordPress Files] Support for dearflipHi @djdavit1990 ,
>>>so if bought, i can prevent access any other ways than through the dearflip plugin??
If you mean any other ways is a different PDF viewer plugin, then yes.
>>>So everyone can access trough “test page” for example. But not on the direct link to the file?
Only the authorized user can access/view your protected PDF files.
If you want to everyone can access it through the “test page” but not on the direct link to the file, you will need to use PDA Gold and PDA Private Magic Link extension.

In reply to: [Prevent Direct Access - Protect WordPress Files] Support for dearflipHi @djdavit1990,
If that’s the case, your file is protected and can only be accessed if you are logged in as an admin user.
To clarify, the free version of PDA only provides file access permission to:
- Admin users (by default)
- The file’s author
If you want to specify who can access your protected files, such as users, logged-in users, or custom roles, you will need our PDA Gold plugin.
For more details, you can refer to this link: PDA Permissions.
I look forward to your reply.

In reply to: [Prevent Direct Access - Protect WordPress Files] Support for dearflipHi @djdavit1990,
Thank you for the test page.
Does the PDF show when you log in as an admin user?
Also, are you looking for a way to allow everyone to view your protected PDF files while preventing access via direct link in the meantime?
Looking forward to your reply.

Thank you for reaching out to us.
Could you provide us with a sample page that has the protected PDF file embedded, so we can take a look?
Awaiting your reply.
Hi @tflora ,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
It’s possible with our plugin. However, you will need to use our PDA Gold plugin and Protect WordPress Videos & Audios extension.
It protects your WordPress videos and audios link by expiring its private download links every 5 seconds (can’t download it). Once the previous private links expire, the extension auto-generates a new one that keeps the video playing smoothly.
