i know what the problem was, the name was too short, apparently it needed to be longer than 4 characters its working

Seriously, there is no such thing as “private” once it is published on the internet.

I laugh at these kinds of replies, some people think just because it’s the internet or web that it means everything is public domain and no such thing is private what a load of crapola,

that’s like saying just because every home has a door and window its free public domain for anyone to enter, it’s not and there’s no real difference in the privacy you would take on the web then it is in your own home,

there is such thing as privacy on the internet don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, ??
I think people on the web should take their privacy more seriously, you wouldn’t enter into every house on your block just because its on your block so, no different on the internet,

it would be nice to see the internet have tools to shut all the windows and doors on the internet and allow people to customize their internet experience, i’m shocked that there aren’t better tools for doing this, like blocking google ads on a site and other forms of advertisement, people hate to see these things he he

I think these kinds of tools willl be existing sooner then we think, future businesses will have to earn the right for us to see their products

seems to me with all the interest in integrating vanilla with wordpress it would make sense for mark to hop on board the wordpress developer train and make vanilla the wp forum software instead of bbpress, vanilla is light years ahead of bbpress but bbpress is wp software so its simple and easy to intergrate into wp, it would be a great merge the two, all those in favor say I ? I was trying to use a subdomain not a subdirectory, can wordpress files be placed in a subdomain and have it pulled into the https://www.domain ?

apache can set restrictions on who can get to htaccess, there are ways to snuff out the sniffer, it’s really not so complicated, WP already has an authenticator plugin that makes you login in order to access the blog

well i like wordpress as much as the next person but i did check out b2 admin and it looked like it included some things that WP does not, like group creation and better access capability, that in and of itself makes B2 more capable, i never like the wars on which is better, the truth is there will always be another bloging software nawing on the toe of present software and a user following is only as good as the next software that comes out that appears to offers more, more often than not, user-loyalty is nothing more than mere convenience

I find role manager plugin useless, it really serves no useful purpose unless all the users are admin type roles, i agree there needs to be a group management plugin to create user groups, etc

it sure would be nice if WP deleted some of these old posts, i’ve noticed many site url either no longer existing or plugins no longer supported,

hate to tell you but both the page access and page restrictions plugins do not work on my wp, all i get is a blank page when i activate the plugin, using the lastest WP release

/index.php?id= for posts
/?c= for catergories

although your categorie links don’t appear to be functioning

are you using permalinks ?

well i typed in custom fields and got nothing on the search, but i ended up finding it in the docs, sometimes search doesn’t catch it and sometimes it does ??
