Question…….. You are obviously comfortable with WordPress.
I am comfortable with html, CSS & php somewhat.

I have always built sites from scratch, but understand that it is to my advantage to start using WP (for the plugins,etc) and am told that I will be able to build larger sites much faster than hand coding.

Am I just overwhelmed at the moment (ha!)? Once the structure and do’s and how’s of editing WP themes sinks in, is it really fairly easy to use and edit? I am hoping! Thank you again! Buffmin

One more question. As I am really new to WP, how would you think I should remove the white area above my flash? (Where it says WordPress Practice Site & “just another WordPress Site”). https://doubledoubleny.com/

I could show you my header.php code, but am assuming there is a easy answer to a newbie like me.

PS: I am tempted to just jump in and edit the html using Dreamweaver, ut am trying to do these things the correct way. Thank you.

I did widen the navbar like you mentioned, but the 20px margin on the left side of the wrapper still holds true (you can see it at my link https://doubledoubleny.com/). It shoves the navbar off to the right.

If were hand coding an html page, I would create a separate wrapper for the header(or not have one for the header at all) and then just have a wrapper for everything below in the header.
I am not sure if this is do-able with WordPress? Or is too difficult in WP, or should I just go with your idea of a new yemplate.

Actually, the reason I had selected the Twenty Ten theme, was because there are so many threads all over google relating to that particular template. I figured it might help me learn WP quicker.

I am learning how to create a child theme ( and understand why), but once I do, would like to still know how to go about this. Thank you. (just trying to stay one step ahead).
