Having my host company switch my hosting server from one running php4 to one with php5 resolved the problem for me. Not sure what else it could be for you.
Took a look at your site and that is really odd. First the obvious–you imported to NG the same as the others (each gallery as a separate upload)? File names and extensions are correct? The images show up correctly in your NG library, too? Might check the path in that gallery under manage galleries, too, to see if anything happened to that. What happens when you just delete this one and start a new gallery from scratch (thinkin’ it could just be one of those “ghosts in the machine” quirks where something along the way went wrong).
Here is a link to my issue. I’ve intentionally set the screen color darker so you can see the edges and made the vertical 25 pix higher than the highest image. If you click on the icon of the break dance guy (third in) before clicking the slideshow, you’ll see how the image is supposed to look. Then click the slideshow and you’ll see how it justifies on the screen (hand cut off). It is actually doing this on all, but more obvious on that one. Stretch is set to none and I’ve tried all of those settings.

Thanks for taking a look. I’d also like to know the thread if you set one up for your other issue.

RandyAs you said worked like a charm. Now the only issue is that the slideshow cuts the bottom off of my images, no matter which settings I use. Turned off stretch and tried all of those settings, set the size to the size of the images and even tried it larger. After all of those changes, I can tell it simply wants to justify all of the image about 10 pixel below the bottom edge no matter what size or stretch setting I use. Any ideas? I’m going to also post this to the other forum.
Much appreciated
RandyNo, did not see that one (probably every other one, but not that). Thanks so much for catching this thread!

RandyAgreed. You’d think in this day and age there would be solutions for this stuff. Most wordpress issues remind me of the the early days of digital photography/multimedia, where there were only workarounds. I just had this same issue arise where I didn’t want to re title my images and after much research, there is one only very partial solution and you may be able to find additional solutions if you go this way. With this method, you’ll only be able to download all your images with your title entries as your file name. It won’t bring other wpl information entries back, at least I couldn’t get it to, but if you would rather name your files as your title, as I did, this will work.
You download any/all images from a gallery you’ve created in WP library by using a Firefox plugin called DownThemAll (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/downthemall/). You have to use the plugin on your actual page where your gallery is embedded using the contextual menu (control click on mac) on the page, then the links tab within the plugin. You can then download all the jpeg attachments on that page, rename them using whatever data you like (I used *text*.*ext*) to rename files with the title. Then re-import using the NextGen import. A bit simplistic, but it saved having to re enter all of those titles. Unfortunately the lesson from all this is to have image files set up with all data before any import.
If you’ve found other solutions since writing this, would love to know.

Hey all
Here is some good info. on php 4 vs. 5. Sounds like this may be the issue here. I had the same problem, as my host had all of my sites on a server using only php 4. They have asked me to make backups and they will switch my server to a newer one. A bit of a pain but seems to be the only solution and will most certainly be the best way to go for future plugins and releases for anything WordPress.
