wish it didn’t have to be a set time, like unlimited time would be nice, but otherwise this will do, thanks ?? I’m still designing my template and I’m not ready for it to be public yet. but I can set it to 30, 60, 90 or 120 days, which is good enough for now, and its not like I have to give the user a set time when its done, so this’ll work

I mean, am I the only one who thinks its crazy that the .maintenance file is rather sillie to block access to the admin area also? putting a site or blog or forum or anything else into a ‘maintenance mode’ should be so admins can run maintenance on the site, isn’t that right? well if so, then why is the admin area blocked to the admin in maintenance mode?

suggestion for Register Plus Redux:

1. audio captcha for blind users. (re-captcha doesn’t have an accessible audio captcha. the text field input box doesn’t accept the audio that is heard, I’ve told this to the re-captcha people but they just don’t seem to care. the text field input box only accepts the visual input, which is a programmer error but they just don’t seem to care)

2. facebook connect support. about 99.99999% of my registered users already have a facebook account, or at least twitter, so why reinvent the wheel? thats why most people don’t register for individual blog accounts, who has time to register for 50 million blogs in the world?

nevermind, that is what it was, I had to create 2 blank files sitemap.xml and sitemap.xml.gz on the server and give them both chmod 777 permissions

no it isn’t, thats why I asked. making thumb and inserting code into post, is not automatic with the uploader, we’ve tried that. It should have been though, I know.

thanks. I still don’t quite understand what “tags” are, even after reading the wiki pages explanation of it, but I figure, if I don’t understand what they are, then I probably have no need for ’em ?? I keep thinking “tags” as in like “meta tags” or search terms or something. I just don’t see whats new about that, and why a category would replace that. Categories are used to group relevant posts together, like a group of related posts, or like a subdirectory of files would be. Thats not even close to what I think of when I hear the word tag ??

what are tags in WP 2.3? I don’t understand.

like related tags? I don’t get it lol

I have always upgraded WordPress, up until now, using Cpanel’s Fantastico, but when I read that article about what subversion was, I thought, “cool I’ll do that instead” since Fantastico doesn’t have 2.3 in their repository yet I’ll just do it that way from now on ??
