In reply to: [WooCommerce] How can I completely disable “Site visibility” functionality?I add my vote to this. I good rule of thumb… if you need to add something to turn it OFF, then don’t add to a distribution release until you’ve figured it out. Tired of having half-thought out features inflicted upon “everyone”. That is what development branches and releases are for isn’t it???

In reply to: [AI-SEO KISS] Great pluginI would look for the high value features (which you already do!), if there are no more obvious ones, then leave it as is! (I know little about what SEO features that you should support, sorry not to have any more practical suggestions).
Ok, thanks for the clarification, your earlier comments make better sense now.
I’m curious though:
With the JS file in question, minification was not a problem, however the merging process was. So, I just excluded your file from that process. Why would merging this file be problematic? Is this not a problem with your file, as no other JS files seem to have this problem.

In reply to: [Merge + Minify + Refresh] Is plugin still supportedGreat – thanks for the reply.
Oh – just as a note! I have excluded the flexslider file from the MMR plugin’s list, so the site works again.
So, the problem is in this file:
https://williamstewart.me/wp-content/plugins/ml-slider/assets/sliders/flexslider/jquery.flexslider.min.jsIf it is merged and minified with other JS files, the slider no longer works.
The merging/minification is done using Merge + Minify + Refresh plugin, which otherwise doesn’t cause a problem on my site.

I don’t understand:
“I also wasn’t able to replicate your issue on my local.”I go to the page I reported the problem:
https://williamstewart.me/himalayas-calendar-2020/I should see (and used to see):
* Arrows to navigate Left/Right
* 13 Dots below that show the individual slides I can navigate too in the slideshowI do see:
A static image.I tried this on:
Chrome, Firefox, Safari. So, what does it mean “I also wasn’t able to replicate…”?
Did you see “dots”? Were you able to navigate to the previous/next slider image? If you click on the image, a Lightbox is invoked and you will see the images that are there in the slideshow and the page’s HTML references a meta-slider slider object.
This is 100% reproducible on that page on these browsers (Mac) and I just tried on iPad, same.
William
The site is using the TwentySeventeen built-in theme.
I’m not going to go and do all your debugging for you. This was working, I did a wordpress update and now it is broken. I have not added any new plugins since then.
You should take responsibility for your plugin. It is a very simple and 100% reproducible case which is regression from previous behaviour. I really don’t have time to do all of this without a much clearer direction. This is really an insulting response.
I got one to work by setting the Effect to “Slide” instead of “Fade”, but that still isn’t working on my previous or new ones (it might be some weird interaction with the vertical/horizontal orientation of the slides as well).

Yes, well I already have a backup of this file, but thanks for your concern.
I made the change your suggested and this fixed the problem (it was on “Disk” prior to this). Thanks!
This is not resolved.
I just repeated the same issue – have W3 Total Cache installed, and every time I go to edit a file as described I get this error.
I deactivated W3 Total Cache and the problem resolves, I can save and edit files as I always have.
So, this is clearly something to do with the W3 Total Cache plugin

In reply to: Revision history no longer showingI just came across this and I have none of the mentioned plugins. WTF! Seriously. Surely this issue should be obvious and fixed?

In reply to: [WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway] Stripe loads on product pageWell, I wouldn’t mark it as resolved at all. It isn’t, it is not fixed. Just knowing something is broken, and not fixed, is not “Resolved”.
I think this should only be marked as “Resolved” when there is a release that actually does fix this problem. Or, it is marked as “Not to be Fixed”.
Thanks.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway] Stripe loads on product pageYes, thanks I’ll add a comment.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway] Stripe loads on product pageThanks for the comments – This seems like a lot of extra work, which I can do if there is no alternative, so its a workaround to a more serious problem than a solution…
Why is Stripe even loading here?
