This is a great idea, did anything ever come of it? “Bits” or “content blocks” is a very powerful concept that I think would work well with wordpress.

But I think I will have to use multiple loops to get my homepage to look like it does now, don’t you think? With a separate section for each category, displaying the top stories in each.

I’m thinking this is how is should work… posts should be “tagged” somehow in the database as being in a certain category. And you should be able to use this to somehow “call up” all the posts that are tagged as being in that category. Does Word Press not work like that? I have four different categories that I want to all show up on the main index page, sorted and separated by category. Is this possible?

If a plug-in is needed, I am using 1.2.2, the latest stable release. There’s gotta be a way to do this, it seems pretty simple.

Thanks for the link, that includes both the print and email plug-ins I wanted! Now I have a problem after unzipping the files into my word press plug-ins folder. I get this error when I go to “Templates” in the admin panel after activating those plug-ins.
