You need to find the area in your style sheet that corresponds to those particular < li > and add “list-style-type: none”.

And yeah, tagging would be cool. I’d like to stick with magazine/newspaper themes really, since there aren’t a lot out there. It’s rather unique.

You’d basically do the same thing that you did in your index.php. Just create static .php files: academics.php, campus.php, etc., and insert your multiple loops to achieve the desired effect. That’s how I’d approach it.

Personally I enjoy three column themes, or more. They feel less blog-ish. Widget support is fairly important. It makes updating the sidebar much easier.

One thing I’ve seen in newspaper/magazine type themes is content displayed over multiple rows and columns. I’m not sure how this is accomplished, but for examples see: washingtonpost.com, latimes.com or nytimes.com.

No, there isn’t a way in Word Press to add a caption to a photo. At least not right out of the box. From what I understand, and I’ve been trying to figure this out for a while as well, you need to wrap your images in a <div> and then style it with CSS..

I’ve yet to run into a plug-in that’ll accomplish this, but that would be awesome.

Right now I can’t think of any other plug-ins that I’d want it to work with out of the box. But I’ll let you know.

However… for the Split Magazine site. You have thumbnail images right above those three posts. When you click to view the full post, you see the full image as well. How do you accomplish this? If it’s a plug-in, then I’d want that to be compatible. ??
