Wow, lots of replies. I’ve got the index.php edited, I assume my folder name goes where “wp” is in this example:
require(‘./wp/wp-blog-header.php’);

How do I delete my old site?

Thanks to all, I figured it out, I removed the files and did a clean install to a subdirectory, now I can poke around and learn wordpress.

Here’s my novice side:
I’m trying the first one, moving wordpress on your existing server, but I don’t know what these steps mean:
In the box for WordPress address (URI): change the address to the new location of your main WordPress core files. What’s the new address??
In the box for Site address (URL): change the address to the new location, which should match the WordPress (your public site) address (URI). Ditto
Click Save Settings.
(Do not try to open/view your blog now!)
Move your WordPress core files to the new location. This includes the files found within the original directory, such as https://example.com/wordpress, and all the sub-directories, to the new location. What files do I need to move??
