Thanks for the info. The one thing I did was to hide all other options. So at least it is clear the path they need to take. Having the gallery “on page” is more important than anything. These users simply won’t go to another site area to build their gallery.
FYI There is a plug-in for Joomla called AllVideos. They break the style from the content in a nice way. You go into the plug-in and set the default style overall, ie if nothing is defined use X. But it allows you to override anything.
When you add the content with the short code, you have the choice of adding switches to change the default.
You end up just entering {youtube}xxxxxx{/youtube} for the default or {youtube width:auto}xxxxxx{/youtube}.
That lets novice content people have ease of adding content, but the more advanced users tweak as needed. Plus if there is an overall design change that effects the videos, you just change the defaults and all your content is fixed.
