The theme has everything, if you maintained properly then their would not be any problems to you.

Nice design everything looks perfect, but the articles on main page looks bad as they were not in a serial row. please check and make sure adjust them to look beautiful.

I see the G plus button in top that is not looking good, make sure place it somewhere on the site.

Your blog is really amazing, without any suggestions, but there are few more suggestions.
The one is blind street text in header image that goes to the left, make sure it should be in middle of image with some other great color.
The other thing is embed the video in post with same sizes, so it will look better and attractive to the readers.

I suggest you to check other people blogs on the same niche which are popular. You will get a lot of ideas from them, since placement of advertisers are also necessary as per the niche.

The header is too bad and change it for your requirement.

The modern looking template means bootstrap 3 themes or above, check new wordpress themes that are suitable for you.

You should use your categories as menu tabs so that the readers can attracted easily.
