Found “Allow comments” under Quick Edit. You seem to be able to do more things under “Quick Edit” than you can under “Edit”.

I am using a static front page as a Home page.

I don’t know how to enable the option to allow comments on specific pages.

I was trying to publish my home page! I found a solution through Appearance > Menu: it offered me the option to have a static home page. I chose that and it solved the problem.

When I edit the page and click on Preview I see the page. But when I click on Visit Site, it comes up with “Nothing found”.

I haven’t got an error. I read about trying Permalinks in previous Forum posts.
