Preorder Transition Status will only change when the preorder date arrives. Before that, the order status needs to be “Pre-ordered.”
That is how the coding works because dates are set to that status.

As I understand, when you are on the backend, you are trying to edit your metadata on a product and are you having a long time when updating the product or is your backend not responding after installing our plugin?
