Thanks. Do you have an example? I’m sure there are a bunch of these as you say, but my search doesn’t bring up any obvious candidates.

Also, I’d love to know how this can happen so randomly? It just happens without me doing anything, which is pretty stressful as I have to keep checking my site all the time.

It’s the latest version. I update it whenever a new one comes in, and all seems fine afterwards.

I thought it was fixed by deleting an old plugin, as it hadn’t happened in a while. But this same problem just happened AGAIN. I spent an hour or so fixing it just now. Please help. Thanks.

This looks like it’s about adding a search bar to the top menu, rather than making the menu itself appear on the page?

The top menu (navigation bar) shows on every other page of my site automatically, so I’m confused as to why it’s dropped off on the blog page.

You’ll see the top menu is on pages like the home page, about page etc, but not when you look at the blog page.

No plugins at all actually – I did install one a few days ago, but that was after the widgets had already disappeared twice…

Thanks, yeah I had turned off debug so I didn’t have to look at those error messages, but I’d rather be able to have debug on.

I found the fix above online also, but where is the widget file?

It will start to look more and more like the demo page as you fill in the various sections. Most of it is either in Appearance>Customise or Appearance>Widgets.
