Thanks for the response. It looks like the new pages hadn’t been created when I installed the plugin (For those who want to check, go to your Pages (All) and sort by date. See if any new pages have been created since plugin install. In my case, there were only older pages).

Since I didn’t see a way of having the system recreate those pages and I didn’t see any instructions on how to manually create the correct type of pages (or exactly what to have within each one), I completely deactivated and then uninstalled the plugin. Then installed and activated it again.

Only then did I have the pages you mentioned and did the OB setting page actually point to them.

    Whew.

So, I now have the pages installed with the BadgeOS settings pointing correctly to them. The error message has now gone away and profiles are working appropriately again. I can now continue configuring the badge and point system.

    Marking this issue as resolved.

    Thanks for the help!

Any update? My site is getting close to going live for the general public and I would like the profile to accurately show the total points earned.

    Thank you!

Just tested again after updating the plugin. User should now have 6 points/no badges displayed but I’m still getting “No badges. No points.”

Updated and tested again. Same results. Commenting on an activity triggers a point. Posting an activity does not.

Yet another update. After having others help me out with testing other browsers and platforms, it appears it is only the Mac Firefox that is having the issue. Not ideal, but at least it isn’t a problem with an entire popular browser. Just one platform.

Added note: I tested your demos using Firefox and they are autoscrolling. Maybe something in the GeneratePress CSS is preventing the autoscroll in Firefox for some reason? Anyone have a clue what might be affecting only the one browser?

I definitely prefer keeping all custom stuff to the child theme CSS. ??

Added this new try and the line in the profile has fallen in with the formatting of the other lines. Yay!

    Thank you for your help!

I’ve tried putting this in my child theme, with no results.

Put it in the parent theme CSS, both directly before and directly after the CSS I mentioned. No success.

I assume I don’t replace anything in the CSS file with the CSS you posted? This is supposed to be a new addition? Just for kicks I tried replacing anyway. No success.

    Any other ideas?

By the way, are you aware that this latest update causes the entire CSS file to format into one block paragraph without any of the CSS commenting?

Here is a test profile showing the issue. As you can see, the other social media links are fine. It’s just the one.

    Here we go!

    1. Created a new condition. Added step and was able to fully edit both fields to create the step. Then I saved.

    2. A second step is added. Page is then refreshed before being filled in. No fields are now editable in either step. All steps are locked up.

NOTE: However, if the second step added and then the condition saved before it is filled in, all steps ARE editable.

    3. Second step is deleted out and condition is saved. The previously working step (back in Screen Shot 1) is not editable.

    4. All steps are deleted. A brand new single step is added. Fields are not editable.

Ah, okay. I had the Badge Theme in the settings set wrong. Once I changed that setting to “icon” the badge appeared just fine under the member profile.

Points are showing in the admin backend under “Assignments”. They are also showing in the database. Just not on the front-end.

I’ll see about putting together a screenshot illustration of what is happening in the Conditions area.

Still having the same problems of being locked out of the “steps” field when testing the steps described above.

Points show being awarded by a pop-up window, but do not show up under member profile.

HOWEVER, the name of the badge is now showing (yay!), but not the badge icon (no matter what I do). Nor does it pay attention to the custom HTML, which I have set to {badge_icon} {title} – {excerpt}. The only thing it shows is the badge color in the shape of a dot. Example is here: https://www.writinggroove.com/members/dreamers-cove/broo-bp-assignments/

I made the change in code and tested. I can confirm that the points no longer award to user1 but are credited to user2.

However, the pop-up box announcing that points have been awarded does not appear until I navigate away from the activity stream (it doesn’t matter where, just that a new page is loaded). Is this expected behavior?

Thank you for responding so quickly!

I’ve updated the plugin. I was able to set up a new condition, but the old one seemed to be corrupted. Still couldn’t set up the steps. Not a big deal, as I just deleted that one.

Tomorrow I’ll continue the testing. Yay! Looking forward to seeing how this works across the new site. ??
