I’ve gone back and forth with our hosting site and this is all they could offer. Does the following mean anything to you and could it be part of our issue?

I am not sure, is this a relevant log or not. However we can check this with your third party developer, because this may be an issue with the timing out.”

If not I may have to upgrade PHP and try the newer version of your software as I can’t keep having my episodes unavailable.

I have accessed the RSS fields from my end without any issues, however I understand about your temporary issues. So finding the exact reason behind this timeout, could you please provide this log to the developer. Everything is fine in the server now.

My server is running PHP version 5.3.29 and WordPress version 4.9.1 (the latest one). I plan to eventually migrate our site to a new server with a later version of PHP, but I’m trying to resolve this issue first (assuming it’s not related).

This is what I suspected as well, too. I’ve been asking them and sending them screen shots to try and get a solution but they haven’t found any issues on their end (yet). I didn’t think the plugin version would matter since it worked fine up until recently.

Our hosting site has to migrate our site to a different server in order to update our PHP version. I’d like to do this but I was waiting until closer to the holidays when traffic is lower due to some necessary some down time with our site.

DeluxeHosting hosts our site and we have plenty of bandwidth according to cpanel. Do you know of some questions or things I can tell them besides what you wrote above to help clue them in?

I’m still struggling with this issue. I have to reduce my feed size to less than a third of my episodes which I’m getting complaints for from my listeners. iTunes has stopped updating saying the connection to my feed has timed out. I’ve spoken with my hosting site and they don’t see any issues on the server side.

Can someone please help me with this? Thanks!

I’ve made some progress in attempting to resolve this myself. It seems if I lower the limit of episodes under Settings > Reading to something like 10, then they load just fine. I previously had this set to 500 and it was working until a couple of weeks ago.

I don’t mind lowering it if necessary to get it to work, but I don’t know why it’s an issue now. Is there a better way to lower the size of my feed if that is in deed causing the issue?

FYI, I’m running SPS v1.15.2 due to not having a newer PHP installed on my server. This has worked fine up until the last couple of weeks it seems.

Also, I checked to see if there was a debug.log file in wp-content and there isn’t one.

I am having this same/similar issues. Since the last update some of my episodes no longer load and show a size of 0. They are all hosted on libsyn and had no issues prior the update. I can still play the files if I put the url in the web browser but through the ssp plugin, they don’t work. Please help!

– File Location – Libsyn
– PHP Version – 5.3.27
– WordPress Version – WordPress 4.4.2

It resolved itself within 24 hours. From what I can gather, iTunes doesn’t update the store listings except maybe once every 24 hours. Either that or that particular day, it hadn’t updated it yet because the next day, the episode showed up and I haven’t had an issue since.
