In reply to: Password reset is not allowed for this userThis site is using the Bones Framework.
For the custom message I installed this plugin:
Custom Forgot Password Mail
I disabled the default e-mail message as it did not actually work.
This is a stand-alone site: https://groecoachinggroup.com/
I am not using “Theme My Login” or any other plugin to my knowledge that would change “allow_password_reset” default settings. Below is a list of all installed plugins:
Advanced Custom Fields Pro
Akismet
All in One SEO Pack Pro
Category Wise Search Widget
Custom Forgot Password Mail
Events Manager
Force Strong Passwords
Gravity Forms
Manage Notification E-mails
Membership 2 Pro
Team
Wordfence Security
WP User Avatar

In reply to: Password reset is not allowed for this userWhat I meant by “process” is just documenting the steps and creating custom e-mails for end users to be able to reset their passwords. I did not do any coding, just documented the steps.
I can’t find anywhere to allow anyone except Admins the ability to reset their passwords.

In reply to: Password reset is not allowed for this userThe problem is that I didn’t code anything for this. Everything was working great then all of a sudden this started happening.

In reply to: Password reset is not allowed for this userDoes anyone know why this this would be happening:
“One thing I did discover is that the RESET PASSWORD words for Administrators, however all other permission levels display “Password reset is not allowed for this user”.
I just tested this again. Admins can reset their password, all other users can not.

In reply to: Password reset is not allowed for this userIt is just a process, no plugins. I noticed that some people were referencing a specific security plugin, but there are no such plugins installed. The below is installed, but like I said was working just fine and now only Admin users can RESET PASSWORDS.
Force Strong Passwords
I installed this plugin to craft the custom e-mail message:
Custom Forgot Password Mail
