Hi again. Yes we have host/file mgr access at Hostgator. When we navigate to wp-includes, and expand the folder, it comes up with these sub-folders;

Hi Andrew

Thanks so much for getting back to us. We paid a guy to setup the website for us, but we’ve since lost contact with him.
We’re not sure what version he used. When we goto ‘view source/inspect element’ it mentions:
wp-content/plugins/sweetcaptcha-revolutionary-free-captcha-service/css/style.css?ver=3.0.8
wp-content/plugins/LayerSlider/static/css/layerslider.css?ver=5.1.1
wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/includes/css/styles.css?ver=4.0.1

Let me explain: A guy we paid set it up for us, but we’ve lost contact with him. We’re not sure what version we have. When we go to ‘view source/inspect element’ it mentions 3.0.8, and 5.1.1 and 4.0.1

MORE HELP NEEDED !!

I have a root domain at HostGator: https://www.BrisbaneMobileAccountant.com
and my add-on domian is https://www.HavillWebDesign.Com

I am trying to build a simple ‘blog’ with WP for my add-on domain

My original user name when i setup https://www.BrisbaneMobileAccountant.com is ‘brentonh’ – I have created a new database etc on File Mgr of HostGator called ‘brentonh_HavillWebdesignBlog’

I have also uploaded the WP zip file to file manager under https://www.HavillWebDesign.com (but i am not sure how to ‘extract’ it!

But when i goto: ‘yourdomain.com/wordrpess/’ i do not know where to go from here to build my new blog ‘HavillWebDesignBlog’

I still think you can help! – All I want is a blog for each website, but I already have one for the public_html domain with HostGator, now I want to make simple stand alone blogs for my Add-Ons domains with HostGator

Does this make sense now?

They are totally seperate websites, I just want a blog for each one – but cant seem to make one for any of my add-on domains with HostGator

No – I am not aware of any differences (com/org) in WP etc. And no, I dont know whether I want to install/integrate/convert.

But: what I am trying to achieve is this:

I set up a simple ‘blog’ for my HostGator public_html domain : https://www.brisbanemobileaccountants.com

And now I just want a very basic ‘blog’ for my other add-on domains i have built, one of which is: https://www.havillwebdesign.com

I basically just want a simple blog so I can get some ‘Google’ keyword coverage of my new add-on websites I am building

Sorry – I forgot to mention – my further domains are actually “Add-ON Domains” in Hostgator, not ‘sub’ domains – I just got the wording wrong. Can anyone help me? Brent from Australia
