In reply to: Newbies unsure & scared of theme & WP first update!!Oh, and someone told me I should de-activate all plugins before doing the WP Version upgrade, then re-activate the plugins, one by one, testing the site ‘live’ with each one to make sure we can find the one that’s got issues (if we’re unlucky enough to have one)
What do you think?

In reply to: Newbies unsure & scared of theme & WP first update!!Thanks Cube!!
I notice you say ‘backup of the files that make up the site, but the database as well’ – To a newbie like us, what’s the difference?

In reply to: need new admin. password issuedHi Yogi
Okay, I changed our PW, deleted the other admin, & assigned the content to me as another user
So we should be the only admin access now I believe.
thanks heaps!

In reply to: need new admin. password issuedHi Yogi
Yes, I do have backend access.
The other admin did some possible content/stuff perhaps?
He changed our Woocommerce somehow to Allow sales without member signup/logins – which we did not have before.
Other than this, I dont think he added any ‘content’.

In reply to: need new admin. password issuedOkay, thanks Yogi, we are getting on to it now.
Once we set the new password for our admin, will that ‘lock out’ all previous admins from out site?

In reply to: Total newbies trying to learn about Plugins..The WooCommerce Plugin has an option to “Allow Guests” to buy, which means a student can either create and account, or just proceed to checkout, however, when we changed the settings to allow this, it didn’t work, it just blocked us and demanded a Username, a Password, and a zip code (it wouldn’t allow any zip code). Frustrating.
But if you have a look at a similar site (www.australianonlinecourses.com) I don’t think you have to create and account to buy a course from them.

In reply to: Should we update to 4.0.1 ? Is it safe?Okay thanks Jack, you’ve been a big & awesome help
I’m also hoping that upgrading solves this page editing issue I’ve been having, where I CAN edit a post, or a course/product page. But it wont let me edit a normal website page eg. contacts, about us, home.
When I click on the ‘page edit’ part, no text ever show up to be edited – I try Visual Composer as well, but nothing! – it just comes up and says:
