  • Thank you @prashantvatsh. I had the same problem but only using Chrome (on a Mac) no problem using either Firefox or Safari. But, I’m a CSS dummy, can you please explain why or how it works? Thanks.

I just updated to v. 1.9.2 but same results. No “View Details” link, just “Nothing was added to the commit. Please use the section below to add files to use in the commit.” with the “Stage Changes” section below showing “There are 1 untracked files that can be added to this commit. Use the boxes below;…” with no boxes below.

I am admittedly a git newbie but I have both added and changed files and added them to the repo at the command line.

Sorry about that — I don’t want you pulling your hair out.

I may have a number of problems. First, I had previously set up a git repo for the site before installing Revisr, to which I only added the wp-content folder. The .git folder is at the top level of the site structure, Repository Path /Users/mxxxx/sites/mbpizza . Doing “git log” at the command line shows no commits for several days, even though I’ve tried doing commits from within Revisr.

The Dashboard Events shows “Successfully backed up the database.” thanks again. The Status bar says, “There are currently 1 untracked files on branch testbranch1. Commit your changes to save them.” So it successfully sees the current branch, good; however when I click on “Commit” the screen shows a box “Stage Changes” and refers to “boxes below” but there aren’t any boxes to use for adding unstated files. Also, when I go to the Revisr Branches page it lists no branches.

In the hope of getting more diagnostic info I installed Revisr on a different local site, with no pre-existing git repo. Although it reported successful backup of the database the Dashboard said, “No Git repository was detected” and after “click here” the event log reported “Failed to initialize a new repository.” however, looking at the site at the command line I saw that a .git folder was in fact created.

I hope this makes some kind of sense.

But unfortunately still getting “Error retrieving the status of the repository.” when I click on Repository Status on the Help tab.

    Thanks again.
