Ah okay, I wasn’t aware of ‘Multisite’ and that is was a way for users to create blogs of sort on a single domain.
I apologize, If an admin wants to move this thread to a more appropriate forum please do.
If no answers come in a week’s time I may attempt to resolve and repost this thread to another section with a link on here.
Thanks @leejosepho, If there’s a better ironclad solution other than through .htacess, I’m all for it. Trying not to leave anything to chance – even if it introduces a small maintenance step. Will check out ninja firewall, cheers.
Hi Gabriel,
I’m looking for a solution to show all the badges (both earned and not-earned) on a user’s profile.
I tried this above code from 8 months ago but it does not work and gives me a warning about the array:
in_array( $badge->ID, $authors_badges
I’m assuming this code is outdated for the latest version of myCred (1.6.3)?
I see an option in the Badges > Settings to show both earned and unearned badges but it doesn’t work when I check either boxes. Both boxes will not remain checked when I update the settings and I can only manage to get the user’s earned badges to display.
Is there a more recent code snippet like the one above that I can just plug into any template? Or is there a shortcode to get any user’s badges (not just the logged in user’s)?
Thank you Gabriel.
@cubiqsam, thank you! Very much appreciated. The concerns are noted and we might even purchase separate cheap unlimited hosting just for dumping the files. I wonder if this could be used in conjunction with a ‘file manager’ plugin to manage the uploads directory. Will look into the .htaccess protection for the uploads directory. We could apply an .htaccess password for whenever one attempts to download from the direct link.
I guess the main concern will always be potential abuse of the upload form. Some ideas for the future: maybe an IP blacklist with some kind of daily limiter with email notifications whenever a file is uploaded? This would alert you to a potential abuse and allow you to block the originating IP. Thanks again.
Sam, I’m unable to PM you on this forum – if you have time drop me a line at [email protected] or I can email you if you prefer.
Cheers.
@cubiqsam, that would be awesome if you could share. Thank you for your generosity.
