The prices would be fixed per spot, but would vary according to the break.

Well, I just fixed it! Sweeeeeet!

By going to the Studio Press site, I did realize that Serenity was a “Genesis” Spawn. When I updated to newest version of WordPress, I went back into my dashboard one more time. There, I saw the “Genesis” icon that I had seen before, so I decided to click on it. And right there, on the Genesis settings page, was the option “enable comments on posts”? It wasn’t clicked! I clicked it, applied changes, and presto! My blog now has comments!

Thanks for all your help James! I feel like I owe you something! What you want?

Thanks! I just joined the forums there, but, of course, it’s not letting me post, LOL. Got an email after I posted that says:

NOTE: In order to fully access the Support Forums & Tutorials you MUST do the following:

Follow the instructions provided on the Theme Download page (link to the Theme Download page was sent via email after your purchase was completed).

If you did not receive the email, look in your junk or spam email folder. It often winds up there by mistake.

Once you follow the instructions provided, in particular Forum User ID Upgrade instructions – STEP #3, you will have access to your Theme’s Support Forum and its Tutorials.

    All the best,
    StudioPress Support

Of course, I don’t have that email since my friend installed all this.

Oh well, I dunno want to do at this point.

One more thing and I will leave you alone. Will it hurt me to update to the newest version of WordPress like it asks me to in the admin control panel? Should I?

Also, I just went in and changed my permalinks to default from “custom structure”. Now when I go to my blog link from home page, it says “page not found”. I can’t remember what the custom structure was that was…it was sometime like “%postname%”. Does that seem right?

They do work correctly, but the layout and design of my site is changed completely. Is there a way to keep my current look and layout?

    Thread Starter boylen33

    (@boylen33)

I don’t see where it says switch to default theme. I see that it has the current theme I am using, “Serenity Child Theme 1.0”, and it has two other available themes, Genesis and Twenty Ten. When I preview Twenty Ten, it of course completely changes the look of my site, but I do see where comments are enabled on the blog. So, now what?

I got into the database and I am now an admin, able to login with full capabilities. Now I need to know where to go and what to do to try and get my blog comments working. Suggestions?

Also, how do I make it so he has absolutely no access?

    Thread Starter boylen33

    (@boylen33)

OK, I changed the language of the database on the login page and I gained access. I follwed your instructions, and now I see all of the other options, including the “Appearance” tab!

    Awesome!

Now, how do I enable blog comments?

    Thread Starter boylen33

    (@boylen33)

OK, I did and it is back up and running now. Thanks! You are a lifesaver!

Any chance I can just give you my login info and let you fix things?

    Thread Starter boylen33

    (@boylen33)

OK, now I’ve really screwed something up. I tried to access my website and it says “Error establishing a database connection”. What did I do? HELP!

    Thread Starter boylen33

    (@boylen33)

I am using Godaddy. When I go to the hosting control center and select “databases”, the only option there is MySQL. I click on that and I see a link titled “ManageviaPHPmyAdmin”. I click on that and it asks for a username and a password. I don’t know what the username is, but I can reset the password, which I did. On the page where I reset the password, it gives a the following for the username: tra1020704310547. I tried entering that as the username with the new password, but it still doesn’t work.

I have no clue what to do at this point, aside from tracking down my friend and breaking his nose.

There is no appearance section in my admin panel. I am assuming you mean wp-admin, right?

I just posted the code into the pastebin as requested by the mod. Sorry, I’m new to all this.
