There is a mechanism to take over the plugin officially. It is a bit of a slog, but worth it if you are going to support it.

The author is easily found on GitHub. Still active there just not with this Plugin.

Note the instructions say you need to have made an attempt to contact the owner/author directly first.

There is a mechanism to adopt a plugin. It was posted on a different thread. It gains an immediate audience where a new plugin does not.

So I have uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin and I immediately got a warning from my host

Critical! – Directory Access Disabled – wp-content/plugins/pastacode/pastacode.php – [‘wp-content/plugins/pastacode/pastacode.php’] – Known exploit = [Fingerprint Match] [RFI Exploit [P1419]]

Googling the code suggests it is a remote file exploit.

I’m not actually using it so I will remove it, but I thought you should be aware. I have flagged it with my host as a possible false positive.

I discovered WordPress has a blacklist of domains already in it. It would be really great if this plugin simply picked up that list (or had an option to do so).
