In reply to: Writing a post does not look the same as when it’s posted.OK I found my style sheet for the theme. The problem now is I have no idea how you write the uri for it?
What form should it take?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Writing a post does not look the same as when it’s posted.I didn’t do this…
In the function above, remove get_stylesheet_uri() and replace it with ‘your-custom-styles.css’ (in quotes).
I presume then where I went wrong was I never told it where the style sheet was for my theme. The problem is, I have no idea where it is. Is it always in the same place?

In reply to: Writing a post does not look the same as when it’s posted.Well I literally copied and pasted that text as it was written, uploaded my function.php file, and now the editor is twice as wide as it was and even worse now to edit with. *sigh*
I deleted the lines I’d pasted and uploaded the function file again but now it won’t got back to normal grr.
What did I do wrong?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Writing a post does not look the same as when it’s posted.Cheers Liam. Is it possible to force the editor to use the same CSS sheet?

In reply to: [Olsen Light] Can’t get comments box to showSorry, thanks for your time but I got frustrated with this theme, there was lots of problems, all minor niggling ones but too many to put up with.
I’ve now deleted it and got another which works flawlessly so far.
Thanks for your help anyway.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Olsen Light] Can’t get comments box to showThere’s another fault with this theme.
Although I have a menu it is not added as a menu to the page. However it still displays. Bizarre right?
Also I have a page which appears as a link on the menu, and within that page I link to a second page. That second page also appears on the menu lol
The only way I can get rid of it is to add it as a child to the first page!!
Surely this can’t be correct??Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Olsen Light] Can’t get comments box to showYeah comments and discussion are checked.

In reply to: [Olsen Light] Can’t get comments box to showPartly.
For no reason now my full posts don’t display. I’ve been in settings cos I have never had summary only ticked, and it’s still not ticked, but I have to click ‘read more’ to see the comment box.
Also it only displays on posts, not pages.
Very confusing.- This reply was modified 7 years, 6 months ago by borismoggy.

In reply to: [Olsen Light] Can’t get comments box to showWell that’s odd. The plugins I have are Akismet, Contact form, NextGen gallery, Smart Youtube pro, Sociable and Yoast seo.
I deactivated them all and the comment boxes came back. Then I reactivated them one at a time and the comment boxes are still there.
I don’t understand that.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Olsen Light] Can’t get comments box to showI shall check them all.
