Forum: Plugins
In reply to: Business Directory Plugin – no images showingHere is a bit of the history of this problem. It has grown to be more than a Business Directory problem though, so I am not sure if this is the correct place to put the query.
I moved the site to a new hosting company (mainly for financial reasons – they allowed monthly payments) One of the people on the new server company, which is called ‘aSmallOrange’, imported the site from my old hosting account on BlueHost. The site was on a shared account and was an add-on domain.?
There are lots of complications with it. Apart from the Business Directory and the Google maps not working, I now find that I cannot upload any new themes or plugins. When I click the upload button after choosing a zip file from my desktop I get the message:
“Unable to create directory uploads/2013/05. Is its parent directory writable by the server?”I have had several e-mails from the AsmallOrange support section but they tell me that is outside of their scope (because it is a WP installation which has been moved)
The images that are missing by the way, are the ones associated with the directory entries which I had built up over the past 6 months.Every one of the entries on this page: https://www.visitpietrelcina.com/directory/dir-category/negozio/ should have a thumbnail image on the right of it and when you click into the name of an item, there should be a page which opens up with sometimes two or three expandable images at the bottom of the full listing.
Now I am completely stuck. If you have any advice, I would appreciate it. My first thought is to move the site back to Bluehost. At least they have a live help section.
Best regards,

In reply to: no help at allThank you for your very polite reply. I tried to look for the correct place to post and could not find it. I then ended up by making a new topic. Probably the wrong thing!
I checked out the The Business Directory Forum and it says that the main forum is better for the problem I have – no images showing and no maps showing.
So I think I had better check out the jobs.wordpress to see if someone will take on the job.
Thanks again for your reply
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Installing template in sub-domainOK folks,
I found out what was wrong.
I had to log in via ftp and do the following in the folder ‘themes’ where I had installed the new template.# Set the permissions of your new layout.css file to 666.
# Make sure your /cache folder’s permissions are set to 775.Did it – and it worked!
Bye

In reply to: Installing template in sub-domainThe wp installation is not in the main root folder of https://www.bookpeg.com but I installed it in a sub-domain called https://pietrelcina.bookpeg.com (or https://www.bookpeg.com/pietrelcina)
The site works when I use the classic theme but when I ‘activate’ the theme that I uploaded to the themes folder (it shows in the list of themes in the control panel for wordpress) it gives me a stange error which says
Warning: sprintf() [function.sprintf]: Too few arguments in /home/bookpegs/public_html/pietrelcina/wp-content/themes/thesis_16b2/lib/admin/post_options.php on line 234That’s it.
